By using our Website, registering for or participating in any workshop, assessment or certification (Services) you consent to the collection and use of your personal information by BAI as described in this Policy. If we need, or are required, to contact you concerning any event that involves this Policy or your information we may do so using the email address, telephone number, or physical mailing address we have on file for you.

The personal information we collect about you through the BAI website, our workshops, assessments, and certification (Services) means information that may be reasonably associated with, linked to, or used to identify you or allow you to be personally identified or contacted.  Personal information can include your name, address, email address, and phone number.  It can also include information about the results you obtain on a certification test.

We use third parties who host, maintain, or manage our public workshop registrations, BAI website, certification tests, assessments, and in managing our customer (CRM) database.

If you purchase a Business Acumen Institute public class, we do not collect billing and credit card information. This is done through our registration processor, Eventbrite. This information is used to complete the purchase transaction. Eventbrite’s security guidelines can be found at https://www.eventbrite.com/security/.

If you participate in a certification test, your name and email address will be used in a system operated by Test.com, operated by Gauge. Their privacy policy can be found at https://www.test.com/privacy-policy.html.

When your information is collected through our Website, it’s kept in a CRM system operated by Hubspot. Their privacy policy can be found at https://legal.hubspot.com/privacy-policy.

Business Acumen Institute encourages you to review the privacy statements of websites you choose to link to from Business Acumen Institute so that you can understand how those websites collect, use and share your information. Business Acumen Institute is not responsible for the privacy statements or other content on websites outside of the Business Acumen Institute’s website. Business Acumen Institute collects and uses your personal information to operate its website(s) and deliver the services you have requested.  We may also obtain your Information from your employer, if, for example, your employer registers you for one of our workshops, assessments or certification.

Business Acumen Institute may also use your personally identifiable information to inform you of other products or services available from Business Acumen Institute and its affiliates. Business Acumen Institute may also contact you to conduct research about your opinion of current services or of potential new services that may be offered.

Business Acumen Institute does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties.

Business Acumen Institute may keep track of the websites and pages our users visit within Business Acumen Institute, in order to determine which Business Acumen Institute Services are the most popular. This information is used to deliver customized content to Business Acumen Institute’s customers whose behavior indicates that they are interested in a particular subject area.

Right to Be Forgotten

You have the right to request that your Information be forgotten from our systems, that your Information no longer be distributed or disseminated. If you wish to make this request, please send email to myinformation@business-acumen.com and put “remove me from your systems” in the subject line. Like opt-out requests, right to be forgotten requests may take up to 24 hours to process. If you are an employer and you wish to have the personal information of your employees forgotten, or to just opt-out, please send email to myinformation@business-acumen.com and this will be done within 24 hours.

We are committed to protecting and securing your Personal Information. Despite our commitment, no security system can be 100% effective and we cannot guarantee that your Information will be secure in all situations. We will nonetheless take all reasonable and appropriate steps to ensure the safety and security of your Personal Information. This includes using industry standard security measures to protect the loss, misuse, and unintended alteration of the Personal Information under our control. For example, our policy is that only those individuals who need your Personal Information to perform a specific job for us are granted access to that Personal Information. California Residents: Your California Privacy Rights

Under the California Consumer Protection Act of 2018 (“CCPA“), California residents have certain rights around BAIs collection, use, and sharing of their personal information. BAI does not sell your personal information and will NEVER do so in the future. Similarly, we do not offer financial incentives associated with our collection or use of your personal information.

BAI does not collect personal information when you use our Website unless you fill out a form to obtain information from BAI or register for a workshop. While we may obtain information about IP addresses or geography from Google analytics, none of this information is associated with you.

If you are a resident of California, you have the right to request what personal information has been collected about you. Since that information is kept in a 3rd party CRM system, you don’t have direct access to that information. However, you have a right to request deletion of your personal information.  To request deletion of your personal information, please send email to myinformation@business-acumen.com and your request will be honored within 24 hours.  If you are an employer and you wish to have the personal information of your employees deleted, or to just opt-out, please send email to myinformation@business-acumen.com and this will be done within 24 hours.

Separate from the CCPA, California’s Shine the Light law gives California residents the right to ask companies what personal information they share with third parties for those third parties’ direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose your personal information to third parties for the purpose of directly marketing their goods or services to you unless you request such disclosure. Nevada Residents: Your Nevada Privacy Rights

Nevada law (SB 220) requires website operators to provide a way for Nevada consumers to opt out of the sale of certain information that the website operator may collect about them. BAI does not sell your personal information to third parties as defined in Nevada law, and will NEVER do so in the future. Withdrawing your consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing we conducted prior to your withdrawal, nor will it affect processing of your personal information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.
